There are many competing payment packages on the internet - which one is best for your site will depend on a number of factors, turnover, order volume etc. We can advise you on this and also offer impartial advice on the various internet merchant accounts available from UK High street banks

In particular, two schemes are suited to online shops with a largely UK or European client base - Protx and WorldPay. These are online payment systems, enabling businesses and individuals trading online to accept payments from anyone with a UK credit or debit card.

In addition, there are simpler packages, more suitable for shops with a smaller catalogue (1-100 items) - Google Checkout (currently free, under certain conditions and if linked to an AdWords account) and PayPal.

Nochex enables you to accept instant, guaranteed payments from debit cards issued in the UK. Unlike credit card payments, fraudulent transactions or "chargebacks" are not reclaimed.

Other methods - with osCommerce it's always possible to accept payment by cheque pending despatch - or cash on delivery transactions, invoiced to customers with prior accounts.
