Zen Cart is an ecommerce package, originally based on osCommerce, but which has since gone its own way to produce software suitable for everyone from small, start-up online shops to medium-size, well-established ecommerce sites.

Its wide range of features includes a product attributes manager, a template system, an HTML editor for regular web page contents, a built-in coupon code system, the ability to select which credit cards you accept, and more.

Zen Cart comes from the same roots as osCommerce - only because it doesn't have the same volume of development as osCommerce, it probably isn't quite as suitable for the UK market. What it does have, however, is an extensive series of tutorials and help pages.
